De primaire verantwoordelijkheid voor de zorg voor het destructiebeleid, voor zover deze thans behoort tot de taak van Onze Minister van Volksgezondheid, Welzijn en Sport, gaat met ingang van 1 oktober 2001 over naar Onze Minister van Landbouw, Natuurbeheer en Visserij.
