The notification shall take effect upon the expiration of twelve months from the date on which it is received by the Secretary-General of the United Nations. +**(b).** The application of the Convention to a territory or group of territories under Article 77 may at any time be terminated by written notification given to the Secretary-General of the United Nations by the Member responsible for its international relations or, in the case of a trust territory of which the United Nations is the administering authority, by the United Nations.
